Matty McKay has spent over a decade in the Canadian music scene. He is a multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, producer, and engineer. He and the projects he has been featured on have been nominated for several Canadian Country Music Awards. Matty is the 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020 CCMA Guitar Player of the Year. Matty was a co-producer on Brett Kissel's album, We Were That Song, which won the JUNO Award for Country Album of the Year in 2019. He has performed on some legendary stages, such as the sacred Grand Old Opry, and on several awards shows, including the Canadian Country Music Awards and the JUNO Awards. He is on the road with Brett Kissel and most recently seen on the We Were That Song Tour, which is the most extensive Canadian tour in history with over 100 tour dates across Canada.
